Start with what both of you enjoy
Before looking for another couple, compare what would feel like a good hour out for each of you. One person may want a lively dinner while the other prefers a quiet coffee. Pick the overlap, and agree on a rough budget, travel distance and time you are happy to spend.
The goal is an activity you would enjoy anyway. You do not need identical ages, careers or backgrounds to start a conversation. A shared interest and a comfortable pace can give you more to work with than a long checklist of similarities.
Make the first invitation specific and small
“We should all hang out sometime” leaves every decision open. A clearer starting point is “Would you like to join us for an hour of coffee on Sunday afternoon in a public café around Noida?” Keep the broad area, activity and duration understandable.
For a first meeting, a flexible end time and a familiar public setting can make it easier for everyone to decide. Overnight travel, a home gathering or a long day trip asks for more trust and coordination. Those can wait until you know each other.
Try existing connections as well as new ones
Friends of friends, a hobby group and familiar local activities can all provide introductions. Ask whether there is another couple who enjoys the same kind of outing. Keep the invitation optional, and avoid treating every social interaction as a recruiting opportunity.
If you are starting in a new city or your circles rarely overlap, a Plan-based website gives you another route. On CouplesConnect, you can find an activity or host a small Plan in a supported Indian city. It is an early product, so local activity may be limited.
Write an introduction that sounds like you
A useful introduction says a little about both of you, mentions an actual shared interest and explains what caught your eye. It does not need your phone number, employer, exact address or a detailed personal history.
Illustrative introduction: “We enjoy coffee and board games, and a relaxed Sunday afternoon sounds lovely. We are based in Noida and would like to meet another couple for a friendly chat.”
This is an example, not a real member profile. Adapt the idea to your interests rather than sending the same message to every Plan.
Let all four people join the conversation
Choose a setting where everyone can hear and take part. Ask about interests and recent experiences, explain the rules if you are playing a game, and leave space for the quieter people. Avoid assuming the partners will want to split into the same two conversations.
You do not have to turn a first coffee into a close friendship immediately. If everyone enjoyed it, suggest another modest activity. If not, a friendly ending is enough. Making couple friends works best when both partners have a real choice about continuing.
Use a shared Plan to take the next step
CouplesConnect keeps the invitation centred on the activity: 2 or 3 couples, a clear time and a broad area. Participation depends on approval and space, and accepted couples coordinate in the Plan chat. It is a platonic social product, not a dating or matchmaking service.
