Make it a decision for both partners
Discuss the activity, travel, timing and information you are comfortable sharing before requesting or hosting a Plan. Either partner should be able to say no or suggest a different arrangement without pressure. The other couple has the same choice.
A friendly profile or an accepted request does not mean you owe anyone a meeting, a phone number or a future invitation. Check how you both feel as arrangements develop, not just when you first open a Plan.
Choose a public first meeting
Prefer a familiar public setting and a manageable duration. Arrange your own transport and a way to leave if you become uncomfortable. Check practical details directly rather than assuming the platform has inspected a venue or made a booking.
Start small before considering a private home gathering, overnight stay or shared travel. If someone pressures you to change arrangements in a way that feels wrong, pause and reconsider with your partner.
Keep personal information in proportion
Your first names, city, interests and a short introduction are enough to start. Avoid placing your home address, financial details, identity documents or sensitive personal history in a profile, Plan note or chat. An account’s email is not a public couple-profile field.
Use the Plan chat to coordinate accepted participation. Be cautious about requests to move immediately to an unrelated channel, send money, provide account codes or open unfamiliar links. CouplesConnect sign-in codes belong only in the official sign-in form.
Understand the product’s limits
CouplesConnect does not verify members’ identities or guarantee a person, meeting or venue. Profiles are shown in relevant Plan contexts rather than a public couple directory, but information you choose to send to other participants can still be copied or shared by them.
A Plan is an invitation to a small social activity. Approval is not an endorsement by CouplesConnect, and a shared interest is not a background check. Do not rely on the product as an emergency service.
Report concerns in context
Safety options within a Plan let you report a Plan or a couple in the available context. Chat and message reporting are available in their corresponding screens. Choose the reason that fits and add the relevant facts without including unnecessary private information.
Reports are not public reviews. Submitting one does not promise an immediate response or a particular outcome. For account help or a moderation appeal, use the details on the support page.
Know what blocking changes
Blocking is a contextual safety control. It does not automatically remove existing shared Plan participation or chat membership. If you no longer want to take part, use the available opt-out or cancellation controls as appropriate and review the current status.
After a meeting, there is no obligation to arrange another one. A clear, respectful ending is enough. Read the Terms for the community rules and the Privacy policy for data-handling details.
